Art at Thatto Heath is led by Mrs R. Jones and Mrs S. Jamieson, who are passionate about encouraging creativity, expression and confidence through visual arts. Our school was awarded an Artsmark Silver Award last year in recognition of the great work taking place.
How you can support at home:
Encourage your child to draw, paint, or create using recycled materials
Talk about different artists and styles (look at paintings together online or in books)
Take inspiration from nature or local surroundings for sketching
Ask your child to explain what they’ve been learning in Art this week
We are all very excited to be taking part in Access Arts Week next half term and will share details of the events planned nearer the time.
