Religious Education Curriculum
At Thatto Heath CPS, we are committed to developing the children’s knowledge and understanding of, and their ability to respond to, Christianity and to other principle world religions and philosophies.
Religion and belief inform our values and are reflected in what we say and how we behave. Religious education helps our pupils to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. It provokes challenging questions about the ultimate meaning and purpose of life. It develops pupils’ understanding and knowledge of Christianity and of other principal religions and traditions.
RE contributes to pupils’ personal development and well-being and to community cohesion by promoting mutual respect and tolerance in a diverse society. It offers opportunities for deep personal reflection and spiritual development.
