Welcome to 1SJ
Our year one class is taught by Mrs. Jamieson who is a member of the Art team at our school. Mrs McEgan teaches the class every Thursday and also on Wednesday mornings. Our class is supported by Mrs Walsh and Mrs Hevey. Our PE days are Mondays and Fridays.
We hope to see our children reading at home at least three times a week and to bring their reading comment books into school daily to be checked. In 1SJ homework will be sent home each Friday. Additionally, we encourage all children to access Oxford Owl to complete reading tasks and quizzes. There is also optional project homework which is themed around one of the topics we are studying.
