This Week
This week Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Clonter Opera where they took part in practical workshops and learnt more about the world of theatre. The children had the chance to create stage sets, explore costumes and discover how a performance is brought to life.
This week we were proud to kick off Oracy October and the NSPCC Kindness Challenge Month. Throughout October, children will be taking part in a wide range of speaking and listening activities to build confidence, teamwork and communication skills. Alongside this, each class will be exploring what kindness means in our school and community, taking on challenges to spread positivity and care. It is already proving to be a fantastic start, with pupils showing enthusiasm for both projects.
On Thursday, the whole school celebrated National Poetry Day. The day involved reading and analysing famous poems, writing their own poems and performing their poems to classmates and teachers, showing off their confidence, expression and imagination.
