Adjustment to School Day Start and End Times
The governing body has approved a slight adjustment to the start and finish times coming into effect from the start of the 4th September 2025.
Rational
To streamline procedures, improve punctuality and ensure consistency for families:
Main School (Reception to Year 6)
- Start of School Day: 8:45am for all pupils
- End of School Day: 3:15pm for all pupils
- Gate Opening Time: The school gate will open at 8:35am. Year 1 pupils and older siblings may walk straight into class upon arrival.
Butterflies will now follow the same timing as the rest of the school.
This adjustment will:
- Allow for clear and consistent messaging to parents
- Improve the accuracy of lateness monitoring at the gate
- Reduce the volume of late arrivals
- Promote our school message: “Beat the Gate – Don’t Be Late”
Little Hearts Nursery and Pre-School
The following changes will also be implemented:
- Soft start and end times will no longer be in place.
- Parents must drop off and collect children promptly at the fixed times below:

| Afternoon Session | 12:25pm – 3:25pm |
This change ensures:
- Increased safeguarding and a clearer handover process
- Consistency of routine for children
- Alignment with the expectations across the rest of the school
Y2, Y4 and Y6 – enter via the blue gate near the Y6 door, Mrs Anders will be at the gate to call you forward. All other year groups will enter via the playground.
