A Wonderful First Week Back
We have had a fantastic first week back in school. It has been lovely to see everyone return refreshed, smiling and ready to learn. There has been a real buzz around the building and the excitement is already building for next week’s Book Week.
This year, our whole school theme is inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and we are transforming our school into a magical Wonderland.
Across the week, pupils will enjoy:
- A Mad Hatter Tea Party for our Golden Ticket winners
- A Wonderland-themed classroom door competition
- Creative Wonderland writing tasks
- Cheshire Cat art projects
- A special Alice in Wonderland photo booth
- A wonderland obstacle course
Thursday will be our special dress-up day. Pupils are invited to come to school dressed in their pyjamas or as a book character of their choice.
The theme also links beautifully with our Performing Arts groups, who are working incredibly hard on their production of Alice in Wonderland this half term. Rehearsals are already looking fantastic and we are incredibly proud of their confidence and enthusiasm.
