Welcome Back After Christmas!

It has been wonderful to be back with the pupils this week, ready to kick off an exciting new term. Thank you for your support during what has been a challenging week due to the snow and icy conditions.

We have  launched our whole-school Shakespeare-themed month with excitement and creativity. Each year group is exploring a unique Shakespeare-inspired focus:

  • Year 1A Midsummer Night’s Dream
  • Year 2The Tempest
  • Year 3The Merchant of Venice
  • Year 4Julius Caesar
  • Year 5Bold and Brave Women from Shakespeare

The junior classes have already enjoyed workshops with the Shakespeare North Playhouse this week, bringing Shakespeare’s works to life in exciting ways

    We’ve had a wonderful week celebrating kindness as part of our anti-bullying strategy. Pupils and staff participated in positive affirmation activities, where everyone wrote supportive labels recognising each other’s strengths.   • This Week

    The Junior Discos and Reception Christmas event were well attended, and the children had a fantastic time! Thank you to all the staff who organised and ran the activities. Years 1 to 6 put on wonderful Christmas performances. We hope you all enjoyed them and look forward to the remaining shows next week.

  • House Assemblies

    Throughout next week, we will be holding our House Assemblies, which will be led by our staff and pupil House Captains. During these assemblies, we will launch a series of House Challenges linked to kindness and anti-bullying.
